It may be that all manufacturers have used whatever battery/charging tech suits them instead of engineering to a single tech. I always get the feeling that the world is flailing slightly on this when there’s an opportunity (although admittedly diminishing in time) to have a conglomerate consisting of tech bodies from the main players to create the best, single solution.
