Chris, I have to say, I’ve been pondering exactly this and even whether to post or not.
Friends and relatives are asking how I’m doing and in truth, the current situation has not affected me that much and it has made me, and I suspect, others, to think whether the cost of having a nice new car is worth it.
My problem is that I’m a true petrolhead and adore cars.
I’ve thought pretty much everything you say and to be honest I’m thinking (only thinking) of investing in what I call my ‘retirement’ car! (an old Merc/BMW,etc) with fewer electrical parts to go wrong. Just good old oily parts. ?
Of course we are all individuals and there will be many different thoughts but it really is a ‘pause for thought’ moment.
Also, it’s really good to read others thoughts.
