Today I… looked into the sky and saw a very strange cloud. It was long and straight and bright white. Very high, I think. Was it a sign, a portent or what? Asked one of the Village Elders and he said that it was called something like a “Vapur trial” produced by a thing called a jet airliner – an machine that carries people by flying through the air. He said there used to be many more but they have stopped now. Think maybe our Elder is having a joke with me – flying machine? Who would use them…?
