Hmm… Bit if a slow day, so far. Washed some towels, surfed the ‘net, read a bit more Lovecraft, made tuna-mayo sarnies with capers, cucumber and black pepper for lunch. ‘Phoned by older brother after lunch but he was busy cleaning to loo and couldn’t really chat. 🙂
What I did do this morning (and I don’t think I’m being either morbid or pessimistic, just pragmatic) is type up a Useful Information Sheet to take to Hossie with me should I get C19 and get taken in at short notice. I can keep it up to date and then print it off if needed.
Name, Age, NHS number, Blood type, Allergies, and stated ‘No international travel in the last 10+ years’.
Then highlighted IMPORTANT STUFF they might need to know right away, without having to wade through my entire Medical History (e.g. No injections in right arm; please try to keep spine straight when turning onto side).
Then a brief synopsis of my Medical History sticking to the salient points only, then a List of the drugs I take and how often. Got that all on 1 sheet of A4 paper. Page 2 contained the names and contact numbers of my GP and Specialists.
Do you think that would be helpful? Or do Doctors and Nurses actually hate that sort of thing?
