I’m not sure that we are ‘expecting too much’ over some of the issues especially where choices were made.
The Govt chose not to follow the World Health Organisation pandemic response plan.
The Govt chose to reject medical requests to have a stockpile of protective equipment in case of a pandemic.
The Govt did not participate in the EU group-sourcing of ventilators and have given 3 different reasons why it didn’t.
The Govt chose to have minimal testing and we are massively behind other countries.
There are more such issues I could list but these are all issues that lie squarely with Govt.
