I currently have a golf with a dsg and will be changing it for a honda civic sport next month which has a cvt and paddle shifts. honda has done a good job imo 182 bhp from a 1.5l petrol with a cvt 0 → 62 mph 8.3 secs and 220 nm of torque. Did look at the corrolla 2.ol hatch great mpg as well but is small.. saloon only in 1.8l a big mistake on there part as i don’t want an estate, but as the battery is in the boot just not viable.. so i didn’t bother even test driving one as after driving the honda, I ordered one.. If the cvt was that bad i deffo wouldn’t off.. I was sceptical but driving the car yourself the only way to know if it suits you..
very true they must be liked by some people as there are plenty on the roads.
I would give them an extended road test 24/48 hours min.
Usually dealers give 20 min on a set test route.
