    @vinalspin thanks for the suggestion. when I had a look I couldn’t find anywhere I could lease a car for that price including insurance and breakdown cover? Also keep in mind I’ll have to pay for the tyres, MOT, tax and general repair costs. I would more amazed if it didn’t work out more expensive. Motability, regardless of their tight guidelines, are amazing all things considered.

    According to the gov.uk website the PIP mobility allowance is 61.20 a week so 244.80 every mobility payment I think? I’ve still not checked with PIP on my mums claim but I’m assuming that will be accurate.

    I hadn’t even considered a car three years old. I was considering buying an older car. £244 to lease or buy a car that’s three years old and cover my insurance?

    The bigger issue in all of this also is I’m a student. I’d never pass finance anyway. I couldn’t for a laptop last year lol!

    @colin
    thank you so much for tracking that down, that might certainly be of help. @tomthumb thank you also for all the help and suggestions.

    I really appreciate people taking out the time to help me out.

    @martini I’ll get on to my uni about this and see what they say, that’s a good idea! Thank you.
