Wigwam I’ve heard that sort of argument before…. ever heard of Hertz ? ever heard of borrowing a car from a family member, close friend, trusted neighbour… not to mention planes, trains or even a bus? Basically your dissing all EVs because of one incident many years ago, and also your wrong because a Tesla with access to its supercharger network could while you were at the toilet?
And really how many people need to drive an ICE because they might have to suddenly travel across Europe… what about those who dont drive, how would they manage? I’ve no doubt your emergency was real enough but it’s a pretty weak one to use as a reason for not getting an EV… next it’ll be how dangerous they are because they’re so quiet ?
I’ll admit an EV may not be perfect for every one and every job at the moment but again I’ll ask the question “when will the oil run out?” and if anybody on this forum says “I don’t care, I’ll be dead by then” then shame on you and remember that when some fit, healthy, wealthy government members say the same about you… “I’m not poor or disabled, why should I do anything to help them when they do nothing for me?”
