You could buy an all in one hifi unit with or without speakers, but IMO you can’t beat seperates and a good set of speakers.

Depends what you want and what level/range your Nad setup was, but this got what hifi award for 2024 and can buy without speakers for £269 RS, if you wanted better speakers or spend more money overall.
Whils’t your in RS pick up a TV🤣

October 3, 2025 at 2:10 pm #314920I used to work for NEAL/Ferrograph (tape recorders, HiFi etc.) back in the mid-late 70’s/early 80’s.
Spent a lot of time around some very nice HiFi in my time, lost count of the number of systems I’ve had!.
Then in 1979 I spent £500 on a Rotel RA-1312 amp and a pair of Kef 104AB speakers, my mum went mad, I was only on £40 a week!. Sound quality is excellent, no need to adjust bass/treble, still got them and in use today 🙂
In fact I was just looking on Ebay and found an RA-1312 up for sale ….. £1035!!!!I subsequently bought another 2 pairs of the 104AB’s to keep and use are spares if needed and a Rotel RC/RB 980BX pre and power amp pair, those I use in my living room with a second set of the Kef’s.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
October 3, 2025 at 4:00 pm #314950Marantz Melody X M-CR612 & DALI OBERON 1 speakers £699 and perhaps more future proof with internet radio as well as DAB. Speakers alone ar worth nearly £400 if bought seperately.

October 4, 2025 at 6:45 pm #314968I’m not sure I’d be buying from Richer Sounds, not because their stuff is particularly bad but because I’ve had much better experience buying locally used. Ebay and the HI FI forums are much better sources than buying new. I had a Yamaha surround system with some amazing old KEF speakers that sounded quite decent and, a good few years ago, decided it was upgrade time. I managed to get hold of some Bowers & Wilkins floor standers which are an improvement on the KEFs but costs over twice as much. I then got hold of a Lynn Kolektor Pre amp which takes the TV feed through a little box I got for taking optical output and converting it, that box also has bluetooth ability. Then I found quite a meaty AMC 4 channel that could be bridged to a 2 channel with enough go to properly power the B&Ws, now everything sings and the stage is huge, even with everything in a corner. Once we get around to moving the front room around, it’ll have some proper space to it and I imagine the stage will be even wider. It’s already hysterical watching the dog react to animals from the speakers.
Have a look at this amp:
Speakers
These are lovely speakers. There’s plenty to find local to just about everyone, you just need to be careful when buying. If you can, listen to them and listen for odd responses anywhere in the sound.
Bluetooth, amplifier, speakers and change from £400.
