Our washing/drier machine has started sound louder, rattly and it’s quite old now, possible bearing, rather than waiting for it to pack up completely, or getting to fitting stuff to it, we want to just buy another..
Hisense claiming to offer free parts/labour guarantee 2 years, with added extension of extra 3 years free parts labour so 5 yrs in total for household use only..
Anyone bought, got or know of anyone who has one..
Also any recommendations of washing machines in 2025 pls..

I’ve had good luck with Indesit and Beko over the years, currently have an 8Kg Indesit washer and one of their 8Kg Heat Pump tumble dryers which is very good and cheap to use.
There’s a website with some info on most of the usual manufacturers here,
https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/about-the-appliance-industry/manufacturer-informationPlease excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
August 28, 2025 at 5:19 pm #311901Hi Phaedra, we currently have an indesit inex 10kg washer drier, about 4 yrs old & used daily, it’s been great, just seeking some info or deals/sales before taking the plunge..
August 28, 2025 at 5:49 pm #311903Hisense has established itself as a competitive brand in the UK for white goods and TV’s, and own many familer brand names – Fridgemaster, Gorenje, Hitachi air con, Toshiba etc.
Haier another established Chinese whitegoods brand, owning the likes of Candy, Hoover etc.
Turkish industrial conglomerate Koç Holding’s, owns Beko, Hotpoint, Indesit, Grundig and Turkish Vestal whitegoods (Vestal crap TV’s).
Definately worth finding out who’s behind the familiar brand, of which I think Mark has posted the link for!
Beko are often found slightly cheaper than Hisense, which often come with more advanced features and technology. However, Ive had Beko whitegoods with no problems and currently have an Hisense flagship oven, Haier fridgefreezer and Bosch seri 8 wahing machine and heatpump dryer all with no problems and often ask myself was it worth paying £1400 fo Bosch, when I could have had two of the cheaper brands for same price – I’ll let you decide that!

Love my Hisense oven and cooks nice if it helps, it’s can be controlled from the sofa, which in my view is pointless other than you can see if your foods cooked before getting up of you bum!
What washer model are you looking at?
August 28, 2025 at 6:11 pm #311906I’m finding these washing machines in our days buy, use, scrap repeat in about 4 yr intervals, with the odd brushes replace if fitted..
August 28, 2025 at 6:19 pm #311907For me kezo guess a dated view, but Wives & washing machines playing up equates to a total pain in my @r$€.
So just go mid range, job done hotpoint or indesit, once had a hoover.
August 28, 2025 at 6:21 pm #311908Brushes no longer 🙂

August 28, 2025 at 6:43 pm #311912Mrs aj got 20% discount signing up a very account..£15 delivery..
August 28, 2025 at 7:10 pm #311913Not a fan of washer dryer’s unless space is tight!
Other than that funny looking Hisense😂, though if your looking at Hotpoint/Indesit look at Beko, they have better reviews and probably a bit cheaper, as you not paying for the brand name!
August 28, 2025 at 7:15 pm #311915@kezo Mrs aj just bought the hotpoint thing £405 coming Monday, suits me till the next time…🤣
As always Thanks 👍
August 28, 2025 at 7:18 pm #311916Oh oh hold your horses she’s looking at a fridge freezer now ffs 😳😆
August 28, 2025 at 7:36 pm #311917No big rush on this though
August 29, 2025 at 11:25 am #311948My last washing machine was a new Indesit, lasted about 4 years before rusting through. My current Hoover or Candy, again 4 years down the line and the front panel is rusting.
They are relatively cheap nowadays, butdo not last long. Next one is going to be a Bosch, it should fare better.

Worth remembering Bosch Serie 8 is the only models built in Germany. It’s worth looking up Bosch in the link @Phaedra posted.

@Woodpecker our indesit about 4yrs old rusting too, top right under control panel, bottom left, also making strange noises, @kezo Wife’s ordered the hotpoint pictured, she seems to like them, I liked the look of the haier on YouTube. So now looking for a 50/50 fridge freezer as our hotpoint 👀, showing error message and not properly freezing stuff, it’s going in a closed door space so just a good value one needed..
August 29, 2025 at 12:03 pm #311953So this is flashing the ! Flashes also

Hotpoint (british) and Indesit (Italian), In 2002 Indesit aquired Hotpoint In 2014, US brand Whirlpool aquired a majority stake in the Indesit group (hotpoint), whilst Haier (china) bought out 44% of the brand for the US. In 2022, Turkish white goods manufacturer Arcelik (Beko) agreed to buy Whirpool’s Russian arm including use of the Hotpoint brand, this promted the UK government’s CMA to investigate over reduced choice for consumers, but allowed the deal. In 2023/4 Hisense (China) took ownership of Indesit/Hotpoint, which also prompted the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority to investigate.
Hotpoint, hasn’t been the British brand it once was for many years, during Indesits ownership, both Indesit and Hotpoint were the same internally with different lids on to define them, however Hotpoint’s had more features. Whirlpool mmade an # mess of both brands promting fire related recalls. Lets see what Hisense does and how it markets them compared to their own brand over the years however the Hisense washing machine would give the same or features and likely a bit cheaper, but under the lid they are much the same.
My advice to anyone, is buy cheap and replace or buy expensive and hope it lasts (Miele)

Hotpoint w/d in working hopefully 3yrs worry free, fridge freezer Beko ordered delivery today..
For anyone else who didn’t know like me..
These modern day FROST FREE 👀 fridge freezers can freeze at the drain hole, resulting in the fan jamming against the ever increasing ice formation resulting in problems..
This I discovered on inspection and learnt the hard way, however, we also noticed damage to the inside casing due to over filling and ramming in the freezer storage compartments..
Anyone with a frost free fridge freezer I’d advise checking the fan for ice, or any strange noise to avoid further problems..
September 3, 2025 at 9:12 am #312227September 3, 2025 at 9:15 am #312228I don’t feel so bad now about the lack of maintenance to the fan, as we’ve damaged the inside anyway, more care in the future, lesson learnt..😆
