We’ve had a BEV for 3 years now – Peugeot E2008
Been on Octopus Tracker for the last few years but it has recently lost it’s sparkle!
Martin Money Saver said now is time to fix and as Octopus Tracker was often above Standard Variable Rate (SVR) did my research and found that the 12 month Fixed Rate Electricity Tariff from E.ON called “Next Drive V4” looked a great tariff for my EV. It’s taken 10 days as they move you to E.ON Next tariff first.
Rates are:
Electricity
Next Drive Fixed V4Fixed term ends 05/12/2025
12AM – 7AM 6.70 p/kWh CHEAP AS CHIPS!
7AM – 12AM 24.13 p/kWh Decent given the above!Standing charge
64.17 p/day
(All rates inc. VAT)So I’m on this rate from today for the 12 months Fixed, beats Octopus Intelligent GO and Octopus GO rates for both times (midnight to 7am) and rate 6.7p/KwH
Electricity Only – left my gas with Octopus Tracker Rate!
Just setup my heated bathroom floors to run from midnight to 7am and will get her indoors to load up the washing machine and dishwasher for me to turn on in the morning as I’m an early riser!

I just checked it out, it’s showing me Next Drive Fixed V5.
Standing charge is 2p a day more for both electric and gas, 1p per kW cheaper for electric and 0.16p cheaper for gas.
However, with octopus Intelligent Go I can always get a charge during the day at the off peak rate of 7p/kW if I need to, it’s not said no whenever I’ve tried it.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Neither our car – Peugeot e2008 or EV Charger – Podpoint work with Octopus Intelligent GO and their other tariff Octopus GO is only 5 hours and more expensive.
