It used to be MG marked their ports up wrong only one was for AA and it was the opposite of the one indicated.
Failing that open settings > manage apps on your phone, tap the 3 dots and show system apps or it might say show all apps, then find android auto from the list and tap on it. At the bottom of the screen there should be an option for clear data, if not you might need to open the storage button on that page then tap clear data.
This will reset android auto to default to start again without losing anything else.
If that doesn’t work try factory reseting the head unit.
I have found a very rare situation where my phone a Xiaomi 12 pro wouldn’t work in a Peugeot but Samsung and Google phones did so compatibility is still an issue. If not go ask the dealer for help it could be a fault too
