Just had a call from dealer informing me my original Car I ordered is no longer available and the new replacement has a lower spec than original. On top of that the build date has been pushed to Apri. I ordered in June 22. Can I cancel and go for another Make . ?

I had this with Vauxhall and Motability kindly allowed me to change even though I took delivery of the car in the first instance.

As far as I know, if the car is not what you ordered, you can cancel.

You can cancel up to the point of handover, ianto, so yes.

You can cancel at any time right up until you input your PIN to accept the car. You don’t need permission from Motability to do this and it can just be because you have changed your mind, but it’s sensible to let them know why you are doing so, especially when it’s for a very legitimate reason such as the spec changing.

Well spoke with Motability and after explaining the situation they agree I can Cancel. And I can even go back to Petrol if I want to. That’s Good News.

It was a DS3 Crossback which has now changed to DS3 With less spec. Ordered June told Nov build then Feb Build Now April Build. So now going to look at Peugeot 2008

Aren’t Peugeots coming through with less spec especially high spec models?

@Kezo seems a common thing across the PSA group Citroën has done it on the C4.

Some C3 Aircross Shine Plus has come without Parking Sensors.

Peugeot seemed to have started before Citroen even as the electric tailgate on the 3008 and 5008 top spec models came a common topic being missing or becoming cost options.

The C4 Shine Plus lost as standard Leather Heated Seats, Wireless Charging and Subwoofer now all cost options. But the AP of the same car has risen though.

@CF21LEE yes seem’s that way. Even the now PSA group Vauxhall Grandland Ultimate lost it’s infra red night vision which was standard equipment and now an optional extra.
