My fixed rate ends end of January 23. I have started looking now in case I can lock in a deal at todays lower prices. I might lose five months at a higher rate, but gain 13 months at a cheaper rate by fixing sooner rather than later? If that makes sense.
I don’t think you will get a locked in fixed rate at the moment. Our fixed rate came to an end in May both gas and elecric with Shell, we were moved onto a variable rate and there was no option of a fixed rate but Shell did say that option will be available after all of the price rises. Out monthly payment went from £111 to £191 a month.
