We had a look at the new Kuga today. It was a Titanium model, so at the lower end of the range, but neither my wife nor I were particularly impressed. The interior feels very low rent compared to both the BMW X1 we have ordered and the VW Tiguan that we have now. Poor quality plastics compared to its peers and generally cheap looking and very bland interior. There was nothing about it that made us want one. It may be that the higher end models may be a bit better, but I doubt that they feel ‘premium’ in any respect which, for the AP, you can achieve through the Motability scheme with other brands

However, reviews of the car are pretty good. It apparently handles well and is a nice drive (as all Fords tend to be). The PHEV model achieves far better all electric range and overall economy than almost all the competition, including the Volvo XC40 T5 Recharge and Peugeot 3008. However, it’s way behind the Volvo in terms of quality. In summary, if the interior doesn’t deter you, I think it’s worth considering and certainly worth a test drive.
