The Tuscon interior looks very nice. Reviews are pretty good as well. The Renault has great range on it and loads of kit. I’m looking at these two as well.

Would be interested in hearing how you get on with it Joe. The price is rather good.

I watched all the reviews and it all sounded great. High quality materials, well put together, good to drive, deserving of  car of the year.

The one I sat in was the iconic so it should have been good. The plastics all seemed scratchy and poor quality, the Skoda and the Ionic looked better quality and better put together. Absolutely gutted at how awful it was when I sat in it. The reality compared to the reviews was a stark contrast.

Just wondered whether I had too high expectations of a £45k car or if other people have experienced the same feeling.

I do agree on looks, the Alpine version especially looks good from the outside.

When I sat in an Austral I though it was nice as well. Expected the Scenic to be at least the same quality, but it doesn’t feel like it is.

They will be making updates to the products on the site. They did this last year and ended up with multiple Enyaq entries, missing images etc.

It will settle down by the end of the week.

“They have even sent out the agreement paperwork, for a car that can’t be supplied.”

Skoda did the same, and supplied a newer model car both through Motability and direct orders.

That’s tricky. You’d think that the arrangement with Motability would stand and the order would go through as whatever MY25 model Hyundai agreed with Motability would match the MY24 order.

I know we keep getting the keep warm emails from Motability but a bit more detail would be appreciated. Even something like, we’re going to match the MY24 order to a MY25.

Can’t imagine the Ionic 5 coming off the scheme when the Ionic 6 is still on there.

Mine looks the same as yours, but I know it went to the factory as we had to change the colour to what was allowed by the factory at the time.

How has the motability system been updated if they could not pick the car and order it!

Did you get a confirmation of AP or anything from the dealer?

Are you saying the dealer took an order from you, but can’t process it to the factory because motability don’t list it on the dealer system?

Not 100% sure, but I think if you already ordered the car before it disappeared from the scheme it would still turn up under the previous agreement. The order will be with Hyundai and will get into their build plan at the factory. They match it to a new model, as they stopped making the old model in March.

I ordered end of May. It went in as a factory order. Couple f weeks back dealer told me I would be getting a new model. Not sure what though. I imagine they just match the old spec as closely as they can within the framework of the new models. The prices of the vehicles have not significantly changed so the spec offered should not change.

I think they switched production over early this year, so all new factory ordered Ionics should be the new model. I got told December for delivery.
