I want to Add that it keeps being mentioned about Tesla becoming available on the Scheme and to clear up why it will never be unless the parts become cheaper as the insurance group is way above what Motability will Accept. It is a shame that in Group 40 for the basic Tesla is way too high and needs to come down to at least Group 29 at the most, so it is no good even talking about it on here and another thing with Tesla is the strange Display that many do not like where the speedo is to your left so to me I do like mine in front of me and hope The new Mini does not do this in there 2024 updated car my Mini has it in digital form straight in from and it is great.

Motability are announcing they will be at the big event next week.  True its not official yet, but soon will be all being well.

I just dont see why so many are saying it will NEVER happen.

A few years back I would have agreed, but the EV market is a lot more competitive.

No one is forcing you to have a tesla – on the scheme or not, but their USP is their charging network which makes EVs possible for many that cant charge at home.

Being honest given the likely AP I’d pick many other models if charging were not a consideration.

Each to there own – you dont want one fine, many that will.

I’d have one for their charge network and software alone. I don’t think they are coming to the scheme though, Motability said as much on a recent Facebook post. Their dealer network or lack of it, can’t provide Motability’s service levels.

            Do you work for Motability?

My source does, and I’m not saying this will happen, because nothing is official until its announced.

I got an update that this will be announced next week.  Re insurance Motability are increasing the excess for premium EVs this will affect Polestar, Tesla and even the the E-Mustang (for new contracts beyond April)

Other cars remain as is but having extra excess for premium EVs means higher groups can be catered for

I’m letting people know as im sure there are many that are nearing renewal.  I for one am holding back to see how this pans out.

It may come to nothing but we’ll know either way soon enough.

            Which Mobility Car

To be fair your ‘source’ is someone on Facebook who may be a real person or may be a prankster.

We all want as many cars to choose from as possible but the reality is that we will all just have to wait and see.

True I’ve never said this is a fact – and still arent!

This is a rumour that will be substantiated soon enough if true and not if not!
