It may be interesting for people to know why you chose your car. Forget the fact that it comes in a nice colour, has 700bhp, ambient lighting, a shiny dash and the right badge!

Most motability customers will be interested in  ease of access, ease of driving, suitability of boot, ease of parking, availability of automatic transmission and reasonable AP.

I’ll start of with Kia Picanto 3 auto:-

Small enough for our tight parking spot.

Low enough and comfortable passenger  seat for wife to be helped onto easily.

Boot large enough for Motability supplied Karma Ergolight wheelchair to be easily loaded vertically in boot.

Auto gearbox, sat nav, reversing camera for me and climate control for both.

3 rear seats for occasional passenger use.

No AP and weekly payment less than PIP

Plenty of them are doing it JS. When you have a situation where the car you want is at the other end of the country, it just makes sense.

Technology isn’t one of Motability’s strong points.
