May 21, 2020 at 10:45 pm #113586
LittledaveHe was at PMQs yesterday. Did you miss it? Is he expected to be on beck and call 24 hrs a day, just for your convenience?
May 21, 2020 at 11:32 pm #113588

FootlooseI won’t get political and I respect every single forum members views but if the other three nations leaders can attend the all important briefings then why on earth can the leader of all our nations not do the same instead relying on the middle men to carry the responsibility and burden of the public’s concerns over the way forward?Over to you littledave???
May 22, 2020 at 1:15 am #113594He’s hiding in my fridge!
May 22, 2020 at 7:47 am #113600
SteadyhorseI don’t see why he has to be at our beck and call 24 hours a day. The ministers and experts are dealing admirably with the daily briefings. Don’t forget that Boris has had the virus too and I suspect is not as well as he makes out.

MossfinnThe PM is not a reality star with tv cameras on him 24 hours a day. Just because you personally can not see him, it does not mean that he is not working.
We have a set up with a PM and Secretaries of State heading up each Department. If any of you had run a business, a good boss let’s his heads of departments do their jobs and doesn’t undermine them in public.
The pandemic is unprecedented in our lifetime and many people are working hard and doing their best to combat it. It is easy for armchair warriors to criticise and carp from the sidelines.
Quite frankly there are enough morons spouting off on social media and I’d hoped that on a forum dedicated to sharing information about Motobility and our experiences, I would be able to come on here and avoid that type of morons.

I like Boris
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

Donkey OatieNever mind Steadyhorse you will soon get over it
May 22, 2020 at 10:02 am #113606
FootlooseAs I said I wouldn’t get political so for the sake of forum friendship let’s move on and hope you and yours remain in good health through this ??
May 22, 2020 at 10:04 am #113607if the other three nations leaders can attend the all important briefings then why on earth can the leader of all our nations not do the same
Speaking as a Welshman, it is because the so-called “leader” of our nation thinks he can score cheap political points by attempting to be seen to out manoeuvre Downing Street. The reality is that it makes him look like a prat, as on the one hand he is busy lapping up all of the cash that the treasury can give, while simultaneously p*ssing on his chips by trying to score points. If I were in Downing St I’d be furious.
There is also probably an element of truth in the fact that the PM isn’t back to 100% strength. Anyone who has had a serious lung illness will know it can take months for the lungs to return to full capacity (if they ever do).
May 22, 2020 at 10:35 am #113612Like him or not he is showing true spirit and grit, I don’t envy anyone the position at present and instead of thinking of the lives this horrible virus has taken I prefer to think of the Many lives saved by everyone’s actions in this battle against this unseen attacker. Politics has one of it’s biggest roles to play since war times, and a return to the unnecessary bickering is not exceptable at a time when as a nation we need to be united,
May 22, 2020 at 10:52 am #113613
John CooperSorry JS but you are wrong on so many levels… more lives could have been saved if he had acted quickly in the first place!!!
they wanted herd Immunity at first people need to remember that!
May 22, 2020 at 11:11 am #113614He needs holding to account as yesterday’s latest U-turn shows. Reversing the appalling decision to charge overseas health workers for using the NHS.
May 22, 2020 at 11:33 am #113615His main adviser which he chose is Cummings, a eugenicist. Do you all not understand what that doctrine means for disabled people? What sort of person would choose someone like that to recommend policies to him?
‘Thinning of the herd’ i.e removal of the weakest, is one of the main tenets of that doctrine and would fit in with the early government policy of ‘herd immunity’. The eldest and sickest are the least productive in society and should ‘Take it on the chin.’
The Holocaust did not start with the concentration camps, but with the mental, then physically disabled in 1930’s Germany.
May 22, 2020 at 12:20 pm #113620
StavPillboy, bill gates is the eugenicist with his hands on the levers of power. Funding the WHO partially, also funding lots of vaccines, thats real power majority of scientists fawning over him and they give the advice to our leaders using fear tactics. Eg. That ferguson fella that stepped down after breaking lockdown rules, he said 500,000 will die in uk.
May 22, 2020 at 1:04 pm #113625My view is he can’t and does not need to be at every briefing. That’s what he has his advisors and Ministers for. He’s running the country for goodness sake. And if he at your beck & call, he’d not get anything done.
Rather than spend 20-40 minutes fielding the frankly ludicrous questions that the so-called reporters ask, his time is best spent concentrating on his job.
One things for certain, the United Kingdom is certainly that no more.
@Footloose neither will I get political. In fact I do not like politics at all as they argue black is white which makes me think our interests are not at the forefront of their thinking. But to answer your question, one is running government at the time of a pandemic and the others just want to. That’s why they have time to attend press conferences. ?? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?
May 22, 2020 at 1:35 pm #113628
FootlooseAll the best Wayne, let’s get back to cars??
May 22, 2020 at 2:17 pm #113637Ahh, that was going to be my next comment. ?
Politics are politics but at WMC we’re all of a single interest. ? ?
