After an exhaustive search and the help of a Motability charity grant my wife today was able to order the Skoda Karoq SEL 1.5.

Do the DWP transfer the money to Motability element of  PIP when you pick up the car. Delivery is 14 weeks approx

Payments will start to come to Motability Operations shortly after your agreement begins. Your benefits agency will be automatically notified that a new agreement has started after you have taken delivery.

So they will start after you collect the car whenever the first pip payment is after you get the car unless it’s just after then it could be the next payment cycle.
