If I try and access on my desktop which has built in software it tells me the site is risky. I shall refrain until the message is gone

Fwippers are you talking about this website ?? I am not experiencing and problems. I use sophos home which I highly recommend. It is also free for home use.
What software is flagging up the risky message ?

December 29, 2019 at 2:26 pm #101669December 29, 2019 at 6:17 pm #101679Have you tried reading (deciphering might be a better word) the info which comes up under “View Site Report” – a lot of these are over-conservative issues which would take several things in conjunction to actually be an issue – for what it’s worth, I’m a bit of a geek and semi-paranoid in nature and I’m not worried – the SSL certificate is in order and the couple of online scans I ran didn’t bring anything notable up.
Sometimes it can be as simple as an out-of-date version of some software being used when the latest version is fractionally more secure in as little as one specific way which can cause a “Possible” issue.
To put it into non-geeky terms, it could be something equivalent to something along the lines of a Tyre pressure sensor not working occasionally – it doesn’t mean you have a flat or shouldn’t drive.

December 29, 2019 at 6:32 pm #101682Oh my lord! I am going to have to bit on my bit here fwippers.
Mmmm. Mmmm cf I can’t even bring myself to type that products name. Suffice to say that it is one of THE worst anti virus products you can have on your pc or any other device. I will leave it there.
What you are seeing is a false positive. If it was a genuine issue everyone would be posting in this thread saying the same as you. The fact there not, screams volumes that there is no such issue with this site.
If this site was indeed at risk I believe WMC would close access until he had fixed the issue.
There are seriously much better security products out there than what you are currently using.
I would strongly recommend uninstalling mmmm cough fee and rebooting your pc before installing something better. As I have mentioned before, Sophos home is very good.
There are of course other good programs available.
I use the paid for version by the way. But the home free one is fine

I have updated the site to secure status. https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk Hopefully this will solve the problem. Feedback appreciated.
December 31, 2019 at 12:26 pm #101793I’ve also added extra spam filtering to the forum as the ‘naughty’ spam was having to be deleted manually. Now it’s an automatic process so that should help with security.
December 31, 2019 at 5:17 pm #101822Many thanks WMC for your actions.

January 2, 2020 at 6:49 pm #102058Perhaps my TV will now allow it, good work WMC.
January 2, 2020 at 7:27 pm #102061That was quick, you can come back now @fwippers
January 3, 2020 at 12:41 pm #102145Many thanks. I have a new PC and will see what anti-virus software is available.
January 11, 2020 at 11:03 am #102804Get rid of McAfee, it’s shoddy tat that has dealings with currys as a selling point and does more harm than good, every pc that I have worked on has had this crap slowing it down by huge amounts, it’s so intrusive it borders on a virus itself and you need a removal tool to fully get it off your system.
There are plenty of other free software protection programs on the market that do a far better job and are way less system hungry.
ATM I am using Avira Antivirus Pro(it’s 1 of 3 I usually choose) and this won this year as it had the best offer on(5 devices for £27 for the year) along with windows firewall and windows defender and I have no issues at all.
If you use Firefox you can negate this happening to some extent by adding the extension “HTTPS Everywhere” to the browser.
