For those interested in the XC40 or have ordered one:

Our dealer tells me our car ordered on 12th May is due to be built this week and he is expecting delivery between 6 and 17th July but likely towards the latter.  We are due to exchange on 31st July, so all looking good.

My dealer said he would ring every fortnight to give me an update, even if its just to say ‘no change’

So far, he’s been a man of his word. I told him before I ordered I don’t mind bad news as long as I’m told about it, unlike the VW dealer who spent over 5 months without even placing a factory order and not telling me (even after I tried contacting them)

…we ordered the car on 01/06 and we have just been informed by our dealer, that our delivery date is 30/11 – 6 months!

Not happy, but what can you do????

Just heard our car is due into the dealers in the next 48 hours!  Our existing lease isn’t up until the 31st though.

@ Wigwam – now you’re just taking the Michael!  I hope all goes well for you (honestly).  You could always let us have your car and you could wait until 30/11… 🙂
