Hello, I’ve ordered a Ford Fiesta Active X on Monday and today I received the VIN number via email. I was told that the car was already in the UK prior to receiving the VIN number so I guess I’m just wondering how close I could be to taking delivery of the car. Hope this makes sense. Thanks

Hi,I ordered my car on the 3rd Jan 2023,it was one that had been sat at sheerness and was unnasigned so my dealer claimed it,its been 23 days now and I’m still waiting as apparently its hard to get car transporters to get it apparently,mines a peugeot though so not sure if same as ford.

While I may not be able to answer your questions directly, I was in a similar predicament.

I have privately ordered a Yaris and after waiting for 6 months, my car is finally being transported to the retailer after sitting at Grimsby port for 1 month. My salesperson said that a lack of drivers was the main issue, in which I imagine they meant HGV drivers. Going by my timescale, you could be looking at least 1 month.

Thanks for the reply,seems that is the problem then and not just my dealer dragging his feet,I would of thought if they have requested the car/cars then the logistics companies would be able to give a rough delivery estimate but not entirely sure how it works.
