hi guys what is the score on changing your car if it was no longer suitable due to illness getting worse and my car being a maual and could ideally do with a auto am happy with the car just the transmission getting a issue and still have 24 months left thanks ?

Speak to Motability. They allowed my to change after 14 months because my son (the DLA recipient) had to have a much bigger wheelchair which barely fitted into the boot.

There is no time scale regarding this. If your needs change dramatically, then just get in touch with Motability customer service.

The sames just happened to me.

Ring motability they will be fine.  I even got a grant towards an auto.

Less than 3 weeks from applying and I’ve ordered a new car which I get in 2 to 3 weeks.

They gave a pro rata refund of the AP but pointed out that I wouldn’t be eligible for a any good condition bonus as I was effectively terminating the lease early.

In our case they charged us a cancellation fee and mentioned we will be getting the AP & good condition bonus back pro rata
