Hi, has anyone ever asked Motability if they will make a car which is not advertised for under 25s, available if they pay an additional AP for the insurance. Only asking as the under 25s list is getting shorter by the day…

They won’t do it, I’ve asked.
They will if you appeal and prove that nothing on the u25 list is suitable for the person in need of the car, eg let’s say you’re the driver and you’ve got a big family and need a 7 seater, maybe the 7 seaters there aren’t comfortable enough for the person but this is just a small example, I filled the application in a while ago when the 3008/5008 120bhp engine got discontinued but cancelled the application in the end as I found a 120bhp engine model
I was told, there are no circumstances where this would be allowed.
Hopefully the upcoming 116i is available to u25s
