I’m not a big fan of conspiracy theories but there are some compelling arguments to this one.

There are also some aspects of it that I don’t agree with such as “Tesla build the best cars in the world, period”. They are technologically streets ahead of the rest of the market but I know a few Model S and X owners and while they love the cars they admit that build quality is way below what they’re used to coming from the mainstream premium brands.

While I’m sure the oil companies and motor industry would love them to fail I think whatever is being done to make life difficult for Tesla is more of a stalling tactic to give the former more time to make lots more money and the latter time to catch up releasing their own albeit mostly inferior products.

I don’t know if there’s anything in these conspiracy stories but I remember similar stories being spread about in the 70’s after the 7 day war about inventors inventing petrol engines that could run on 75% water and 25% petrol and oil companies buying up patents for these invention and shoving them in the filing cabinet.

Who knows what the truth is but no smoke without fire as they say. ?
