I don’t  say anything to those who park in a blue badge space without a badge now. Have been called all sorts & threatened. None of my local supermarkets are prepared to enforce either due to staff being threatened. I called one of the private companies whose signs were displayed & they said the signs were only a deterrent.
Mind you….I’d hate to think that any of the lazy bar stewards who park where they choose get their hair wet in the rain?

I h8 to tell you this but the blue badge only applies to the highway and not private land, so if one was to park in a bay in a supermarket car park for example not displaying a badge there is nothing anyone can do under law. (even if there are signs)

Yes it’s upsetting that in alot a cases there are not enough bays and that some people are so selfish and do not care.

one i thing i can’t stand is parking in a bay and before ive even grabbed my bluebadge,some individual tapping on window”disabled parking only” then all smiles when i wave badge..

Yes, I get that occasionally. Time for them to eat some proverbial humble pie. Shame there’s no apology afterwards, just a look of anger and regret.

I’ve had that myself but with on street parking that’s enforcible.

I pulled up in a BB space and within a few seconds a parking warden was about to tap on the window when he clocked the adaptions on the steering wheel and with that he doffed his cap and walked off down the road.

I don’t mind being challenged by wardens or police TBH and gives me hope they are catching violators sometimes,

rox like you say the spaces aren’t enforcible on private land but there was a time that your public road insurance didn’t apply on private land but it does now so we live in hope.
