It’s a complete rip off given that it’s not an expensive car to start with.

Got to agree guys this is getting beyond a joke. Just did a quick check on SUVs and there must be 10+ models that have been bumped to the max £3749 mark.

Just as an example… we got our Nissan 1.7D Tekna 4WD 7 seat manual last August for an AP of £1750 – Same car today is £2999  an increase of over 71% in less than 12 months!

I think it’s because cars are in short supply at the moment and I guess the dealerships make more money from private sales and so are making the popular models more expensive. Although there are still some very good deals to be had. MG HS Excite is still £0 ap and even the auto version with adaptive cruise control is £199. Also SEAT ateca 1.0tsi se tech is only £99. Both big high ish spec suvs

Our Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in June £1699, July 1st £3749 that an increase of £2050, it is the old outgoing model due to be replaced next year, plus it is considerable more expensive than the new Ford Kuga PHEV which has all the latest technology and fully loaded.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally say the wrong thing.

Maybe it is because Motability foresee a a drop of £1250 in resale value in three years which obviously won’t be a 71% reduction.. They must be assessing this all the time.
