Strange one from VW

I contacted my local VW dealer today about the Tiguan Allspace just for some information which he gave me, all well and good. He asked me when  was I due to change my vehicle and told him the date ( two months off ) and he then said until I had my letter off Mota then it was not possible to arrange a test drive, rather strange. so I will look for another dealer.

As an aside yesterday I called into a Seat dealer to have a look at the Tarraco Xcellent model and for some info. The Mota agent was very friendly, he also asked when am I due to change and I told him some two months off and surprisingly said if I wanted a test drive, I could have one there and then as his directors car was available. I must say I as very impressed with the vehicle.

At 2 months to renewal you should already have your letter from Motability. Still very strange behaviour though, maybe he’s been plagued with time wasters.

If I seem a little strange, that's because I am.

Sounds like a lazy salesman to me, try another dealers you can book a test drive online and don’t mention mobility until after. ??

That’s downright bonidleness from the salesman. Nobody has to prove their status, that’s a reserve of the likes of Ferrari, Bentley, etc. I’d ring the dealership and either speak to or leave a message for the dealer principal and/or email the dealer and cc VWUK.

I have both on my shortlist but am a ways off yet. A lot can happen in 12 months. ?

            Good luck.

? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?

I’ve been testing cars for a couple of months and I’m not due to get my letter for two weeks.

Never had a single problem, quite the opposite in fact.

Current car: Mini Countryman EV in very shiny black!

Previous car: MG HS Exclusive in nice shiny black.

Maybe the salesman is getting confused with ordering the car, rather then test driving it.

I’ve never had any problems with test drives even when we changed early years ago, you should be able to test anything any time you want.

I phoned Mercedes up one afternoon last week and was sitting in the car outside the dealers at 10:30 the next morning.
