After nearly 40 years of driving I’ve just picked up my first speeding ticket. 140kph on a French motorway, only 10kph over the limit. 45€ fine but no points as it wasn’t in the UK.

I had a feeling it was coming as the French have a new system where they display your number plate and “trop vite” (too fast) on a big sign at the side of the motorway.

Ah well, maybe I should start driving like a 60 year old instead of a boy racer ?

I used to be a man racer, but only on track days. Ha ha.

I was a motorcycle and car boy racer are them old two stroke bikes lovely smell.
