Just to make anyone using the Skoda powerpass aware that if you upgrade your package even though the contract period is one month you are locked into another one month contract after 14 days!
I upgraded to simply charge on 11th July. I kept the automatically renew ticked as I was gonna untick it when I returned from holiday. I know. Stupid!! I was told my invoice for the month would be 5th of each month so I thought I had until then to change back to the free service. On 29th I received an email to say that my plan had been renewed ! I contacted Skoda Elli saying I wanted to cancel my subscription . They sent this-
Please note that according to our Terms & Conditions, it is not possible to cancel your subscription after the initial 14-day period from the sign-up date.
According to our internal tools, the automatic renewal of your subscription has been deactivated. Therefore, your tariff will expire automatically on 11.09.2024.
Please note that, if the automatic renewal is deactivated within the last 14 days before the current tariff expires, then the subscription will be renewed for one extra month. The above does not occur if the automatic renewal is stopped before the last 14 days
I have searched the terms and conditions and can’t see this information. It’s probably hidden away somewhere. I know it’s only £5.49 and I saved a lot using ionity chargers but it wasn’t plain that you are locked into another one month contract if you didn’t uncheck the renew automatically within the 14 days of taking out the subscription. Just to make anyone using this service what the situation is if you only need to upgrade for one month.
