Run over at GP Surgery Carpark

Popped down to the GP for the group flu/vaccine injection, just as we were going into the surgery door and elderly gentleman in his car decided it would be a good idea to run me and my walker over, my walker went under the front of his car and pushed me towards the wall, I shouted out, he reversed back and nearly hit a stationary vehicle parked behind, they sounded their horn, he then decided let have another go at that bloke with the bright red walker, so off he goes his second attempt to run me over this time trapping my right leg between the walker as it collapsed and pushing me against the wall.

At this point I swore at him, he squeaked sorry and drove off.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

Sounds like a police matter imo

Hope you got his reg and asked the surgery to keep any possible CCTV footage

Could well have been a small child involved

Do you have any injuries, where there’s blame there’s a claim! Also, I think you really need to report this to the police, should this man be driving?

You need to be checked out by a Doctor, you may have injuries from the car hitting you.

Report it to the Police and save the CCTV of it. Hope you are not too badly affected by this.

I hurt my leg but fortunately I have another one, unfortunately we are going to need a new Drive Nitro walker, bang goes over £200. We were a bit shaken up and did not take the registration number, however several people witness the accident but just stood there in amazement then walked off. The wife did ask the surgery if they had a video they reply no, but they have had several incidents in the carpark.

Didn’t bother with any medical treatment I too thought it was quite funny, my life has become so boring we need a bit of excitement.

Although we can have a sneaky giggle, its not funny at all, especially when it leaves you out of pocket by the tune of £200 and a sore leg!

You should have called the police and gave them a discription, which I bet the surgery receptionists would now who it was from the description and by checking appointments around that time.

Hope your leg feels better soon mate 🙂

Unbelievable! I am pleased you are not to badly hurt, though RIP the Drive Nitro. It;s a shame that you did not get the registration, as this driver needs prosecuted.

The driver’s insurance company should be paying for that, why should you be out of pocket.

It was on private property I doubt it would be covered.

Its done with now and thankfully you came away with little injury but, £200 out of pocket.

Do bare in mind in the unlikely event… The poilice would have attended due to you being hurt along with damage to your property. Private property has little to do with it. Iwas nearly fined for using my phone on a Asda carpark. Luckily I got off with a caution saying with the copper saying irrelevent where I am.

This loon also drives on the public highway and needs stopping before he seriously hurts or god forbid kills someone

And of course there’s Hit and Run, failing to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident etc…

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Our GP surgery is in the village it has always been a very close fit community, we moved in 7 years ago with a new build, the locals tend to keep their distance, we are always at the end of the que when it come to appointment at the GP surgery, the locals are on first name terms have no problems.

The GP surgery despite claiming the do not have videos have cameras covering the surgery and carpark, the carpark was full of locals waiting for their Covid injections and did or said nothing.

Its our word against theirs, they are obviously aware of this persons driving skills but continue to allow this to happen.

O m, For the reasons you’ve stated above and the actions of the driver a danger to the public of any age, I would push this further, and maybe arrange a meeting at the surgery with a police officer..

If you use Facebook, or have family friends who do put it on there or if they have a local news page  on Facebook there too..
