I have ordered VW id3. This vehicle is zero rated road tax. I also have another car which has a high road tax. Can I use my pip allowance to apply for free road tax on my other vehicle. I know you can only use your allowance for one vehicle. As the id3 is free there is nothing for motability to pay. Can anyone answer this.

        Yes, you can.

You will need to speak to Motability to explain that you do not want to use your entitlement to free road tax on the ID3.  You will then become responsible for taxing it every year (box ticking exercise), even though it’s free.

You will need to look out your certificate of entitlement which came with your PIP award originally.  You will need this to tax your other car.  You will also need to change the taxation class to disabled too.

It’s a pretty straightforward process.  I did it last year.

That’s a good question. I’m in the same position.
Should I get an ID3 I’ll make the call as well.
