I have just ordered the Techno Esprit Alpine trim. I asked the sales pixie why the Iconic wasn’t on, and made it clear I would change my oder to one if it did.
He flipped his screen around and showed me stock levels in the UK and those at the factory in the pipeline. There were almost 300 of the basic trim already in the UK, ready for delivery, and 200 of my trim. There were, apart from demonstrators, less than 20 Iconics. He said that few were being ordered, so even fewer being made, so “No chance!”
I could have had my car within 2 weeks, but need to finish off saving the AP (£3,245 + £595 for the compact hoist). I’d gone to test drive and order one based on cars taking minimum 3 months to be delivered, so didn’t have the full AP yet. Still, we’ll have it before Christmas. We both loved it on the test drive – only 2 hours, but took it on a variety of roads and city.

RoadrunnerI took the iconic out for 2 hour test drive it was amazing on all roads and fuel consumption was next to nothing, did a lot of different roads including motorway, the tech is unreal on it, you do get a lot of bang for your buck.
just been holding off in the hope that the iconic comes on to the scheme, didn’t really want to order mid spec then iconic came on and have to mess dealer about in cancelling and reordering.really like the pan roof with the amount of light let’s into the car, 360 camera was a real bonus too,
it’s a shame Renault don’t let you add extras to cars
October 22, 2023 at 11:10 am #239562We’d have paid extra to add the sunroof if it had been available.
I didn’t want to test drive an Iconic, although the dealer had one, because I wanted to test drive the best trim level available on the scheme i.e. without the multiling rear suspension, sunroof, 4-wheel steering etc. That would have given me a false impression of the car I could actually order.
