      I’m in charge of a general knowledge quiz Thursday evening the whole family online we do 40 questions does anyone know any good questions about anything ? Thankyou for your help

        2.What is the radius of a circle if its diameter measures 25cm? Answer is 12.5cm

        4.How many commonwealth countries are there in total? Answer is 53 countries

        5.In Germany, the word ‘Gesundheit’ is used to wish someone good health especially when that someone has just what? Answer is Sneezed

        7.What word, containing all five vowels, appears first in the English dictionary? Answer is Abstemious

              Hope these might be useful. Tried to pick stuff from my own circle of knowledge, however small, and avoid “standard” quizzy questions.

              1. The character Judge Dredd originated in which publication? Answer: the British comic 2000ad.

              2. The kookaburra is a member of which family of birds, one of which is found in the UK? Answer kingfisher.

              3. What is the only word in English to start with the letters “t m”. Answer tmesis. Can put in a bonus question here and ask them what it means. (the splitting of a word by inserting,say, an adjective like “con-bloody-fusing”.

              4.  The chough (pronounced chuff) is the rarest what in the UK? Answer crow.

              5. “Scrambled egg”  was the original title of which song? Answer “Yesterday”.

              6. “K5054” was the serial number of which aeroplane? Answer prototype Spitfire. (may be a bit obscure, but if there are a number of mature chaps answering questions, they’ll get it if they made the Airfix model!
