Applied for mine at the end of April as I turned 66 in June.

Got an email in May saying I should hear by June 28th, if not ring. So ramg on the 28th to be told I can’t ring until the 29th!.  So rang again and oh yes it’s all here, will be in touch shortly.

Rang again, no idea we only do the calculations, someone will ring you in 5-7 working days, never happened.  Repeat again for 2 more months.

So, having been struggling a bit with being almost £95 a week short for almost 5 months I rang again today, 39mins to get through and they had no idea what’s going on 🙁

Transferred me to the pensions enquiry team, another 20+mins wait.  Finally got through and big surprise, no idea either.  Had to do the whole assessment again over the phone (so I rather think they lost my original one).

Nice man says I should get a letter in a couple of days and hopefully a back payment in about a week or so.

      Not holding my breath 🙁

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

I always find doing these things by letter. Simple because you then have a paper trail of events. I hope you get sorted out @Phaedra and the back pay as well.

Hopefully its all sorted now Phaedra and you will also have a nice lump sum of back dated payments in time for Christmas.

Good advice from @joss on having a paper trail. Something I have always done and if I must ring these people I more times than not will record the converstion.

            Thanks 🙂

I’ll update this when/if I get the letter and/or payment.

I’m sure my kids will be happy 🙂

Still no letter but, I had a payment into my bank this morning 🙂

It works out at 18 weeks payments, which I think should take me up to my last pension payment on October 18th.

Hopefully my next payment (Nov 16th) should be my pension + pension credits, I may even have the letter by then 😀
