      Hi all

I placed an enquiry around 11pm last night (mon 01/07/20)with Audi Glasgow regarding an Audi Q2 black edition and received a call shortly after 8am this morning from a pleasant chap who said I would receive a call from a Motability specialist and sure enough I received a call a short time later from a pleasant female named Emma to come in today which I did and the receptionist walked me to her desk and from entering the showroom the approach and service was first class so I’ve ordered a Q2 black edition 35 auto in metallic blue which was stunning and no extra cost for premium colour so all good..dealership deserved praise ?

I’d recommend Ashley at JCT600 in Wakefield even though I didn’t end up with the car I ordered (not his fault).  Aslo Lewis at SG Petch Durham where I just ordered an Ateca.

Both were very polite, rang back when they said they would and went out of their way to make sure everything was right for me.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

That is a great review. I’ve been to Audi in Coulsdon and their service was shocking, it was like I was an inconvenience. However I did go to Berry BMW in Surbiton and the service was first class. The motability specialist Glen was great, we called on Tuesday morning hoping to get an appointment that day as we knew Q3 increase was upon us. He was able to see us and take us for a test drive. From we arrived the staff were lovely safely distanced. We went for the test drive and he drove Infront as we didn’t know the area. He went through all the specs and wasnt pushy at all. He even went to go get a brand new car of the model we were thinking of so we could see it. He spent two hours with us making sure it was the right car for us. He went through all the options and when requested he went to speak to his manager to try and get a discount on the necessary extras. When we left a staff member who didn’t even know if we purchased anything or not, was walking from the servicing garage and asked my husband if he needed help putting my wheelchair in the boot. We were in awe of how good the service was as we had been to other showrooms and they weren’t great.

Mercedes Croydon were lovely too but the boot was too small and even though we said it was no good he gave us tips and advice to get better deals.

Ford in Croydon were very good too and we could not believe how well they were managing the virus restrictions testing temperature and allowing us in without an appointment (wasn’t clear on the website you needed one).

We have also received great service from our motability dealer Stoneacre Seat  in Wrexham, motability specialist Tom,knowledgeable polite and very helpful with returning calls and arranging test drive etc.

Looking forward to handover day (September)

                @Footloose, you will love it.

My son has one (not on the scheme) and it’s really well built and very comfortable.

He had excellent service too from Audi Doncaster.

Also Lewis at SG Petch Durham where I just ordered an Ateca. Both were very polite, rang back when they said they would and went out of their way to make sure everything was right for me.

I acquired my last two vehicles from branches of SG Petch (both in Darlington, albeit different franchises) and I have to say I have been very impressed by them.

I found their Motability sales people not to be pushy, but very helpful and genuinely interested.

I have found the staff in their service departments to be friendly and helpful. My car has always been washed and cleaned inside and out on return. They kept me fully updated when it required some warranty work and they let me keep the courtesy car an extra couple of days whilst the work was done.

I will be by-passing my nearest Jeep dealer to get my next car from SG Petch in York as I am so impressed with the company.  It will get serviced there as well.

p.s. – No, I don’t work for them and I have no connection with them other than being a very satisfield customer.

Hi zoe. We also went to berry at surbiton this week, but didn’t realise you had to make an appointment, so will revisit. They seemed nice and friendly, good hand sanitizer and gloves available in waiting room. what car did you test drive, they had a grand coupe in the showroom. Have you been to coopers at waddon, where I go for my X1, they let you walk in after using hand sanitizer on enter and leaving, the cars are locked, they clean after every showing, with a one way system for servicing, very quiet in there though. Used to deal with Audi coulsdon for my old Q3, they are a bit snooty there, but had no real dialogue with sales. Audi at banstead were nicer. Merc in croydon I find ok, but lack cars on the ground, merc dealer at Epsom is busy, parking a nightmare, lots of other dealers on that industrial park too. But for a good day out, Mercedes world at Brooklands is great, jump in any car (pre covid)  I don’t like the ford dealer, always a lack of cars in showroom. The dealers do seem to be handling the post covid sales well, with hand sanitizer and cleaning, and very friendly overall.

It was the X1 that we test drove and we ordered it there and then. They were lovely at Berry. We had walked into the Waddon one and they let us look at the car but the motability advisor was busy and didn’t have an appointment until Wednesday when the prices changed so we didn’t take the chance. I agree the car dealers have done a great job with making sure it’s safe and that’s why it’s dead inside them. The Mercedes Croydon were lovely but Audi Coulsdon just put us off Audi cars completely but are very happy with the X1 choice.

Zoe, cheers, thank you for replying, I am sure you will love the X1, my msport, X1, only issue, was road noise from the tyres, which made long motorway journeys a pain, whereas the Q3 was whisper quiet, only recently resolved by kwick fit at west croydon, by fitting Michelin’s all round. very knowledgeable and friendly, unlike the lot at purley!!  After 4 years, now time to downsize. So looking at grand coupe, or A class, the X2 is just too similar. Berry said they had a skeleton staff on, and from what I have seen, that seems to the case for most of them.

Yes they said the same at Waddon and it’s understandable but they were still very good. Yes I liked the X2 but I need a big boot due to using a mobility scooter and wheelchair so the x1 is perfect. We are moving from a mitsubishi asx which is great for all you got for the AP but it is noisy and a diesel so need to change and the X1 is easier to get in and out of as it’s not as low as a car but not as high as the ASX.

My last 2 cars have been from vertu vw and now vertu honda had no problems with the service at all from them and i’d deffo recomend them.. It’s always best to ring or just pop in to make an appointment that way they can help you fully, when looking a your next car.

Covids changed alot the way they work though so no coffee’s offered. 🙁

I have just popped in when the keys needed new batterys or the wipers was damaged just before xmas and they been great. Clean the car inside and out everytime. what more do you need..

Glad to here you had a great experience and won’t be long till you in the Q2 black edition.

Thanks everyone and good to hear of other service stories good or bad.It was different due to the current restrictions but I was made to feel important and the response seemed genuine and I emailed my award letter and the order was placed today with me receiving a code to track build but to walk in and have everyone acknowledge you was a nice touch though I had my prosthetics on show as I was heading to the golf course after my visit ?️‍♀️?

Good to hear. Let’s hope the same standard is maintained now the order has actually been placed. Unfortunately, in my experience, all to often once the order has been ‘earned’ by the salesperson then the standard drops significantly!

                                  Hi all,

                                  I hope your well.

Regarding the order on my Q2 black edition I received an email with order confirmation requiring a signature which was a simple procedure via email and the only unfortunate thing was currently test drives are not allowed due to social distancing(Scotland)but was informed that as soon as that is possible I will be able to have one in the 35 engine I’ve ordered so looking forward to driving a Petrol for the first time in 15 years and so far everything has went smoothly?

@footloose, you can get test drives, they give you the keys and drive away by yourself. am surprised audi didn’t do that.

Im in Scotland and have just had a 24 hour test drive from John Clark in Aberdeen. It’s rubbish if they tell you that you can’t do it.

                                          Hi all

i asked about having my private registration transferred to my vehicle for collection as this has been done by dealer on my last three vehicles simply by paying the £80 fee but on this occasion was told that I have to have the car a week then transfer it through Motability?

                                          Gordon

I had that from the last dealer and was told motability would do it. They did it in the end and admitted that they’d said that as they diddnt know how to do it. The private plates were on it when I collected it.

I was meant to get mine on this one, The dealer even made the plates up, which they gave me. Then The cyber attack happened and messed them up, so i gotta ring Mb Tommorrow to see if they got the v5 for the car yet.

If they do we can do it. although it may have to wait until after the 15th and we call euro disney and decide if we still going in late august or not. If we is going still it will have to be after we come back as i need to get an emissions sticker to drive in paris. which costs just over 3 euros plus postage and lasts till forever unlike londons scheme at £15 a day.. I know we exempt but goes to show how it’s a cash cow and this is rip off britain. But you need a copy of the v5 to get one, so if i put the plate on i’ll have to wait again for the new V5. to arrive.

I was told that there are 4 manufacturers that don’t deal with it and Audi is one of them so spoke to Motability who confirmed that is the case for some but contact them with regards to v5 and see what they can do?
