ive heard of the expression normal for norfolk.

but derbyshire takes some beating today, i dont know how to link to the bbc news site but theres a story about police having to deal with people queing for 3 hrs outside a petrol station in etwall the queue causing an obstruction to the a road next to it.

the problem being its closed because someone vandalised the pumps 10 days ago so it cant serve fuel.

police were abused when they pointed this out and one man “who had been driving around for 3 hours looking for fuel” finally realised he had used probably more fuel than he would be able to buy as many garages were now rationing.

needless to say it has caused some mirth on the police facebook page.
