The 15m cable mentioned previous meets both:
BS EN 61851-1:2019 Electric vehicle conductive charging system
IEC62196-1 Plugs and socket-outlets
The Type 2 cable meets exactly the same criteria as Ohme’s 5m & 8m charging cables (see link)

Whils’t 20m Type 2 cables are available on the market its not normaly recommended to go above 15m, so other than Ohme taking the hump, there is nothing in the regs preventing you from having 15m cable.
Also what Ohme have told you about a cable being dangerous, can aso be said with their 8m cable!!
You could “temporarly” remove a section of the just for the sake of getting the charger installed. They would be hypocrites if they said no!
However I wouldn’t suggest you ruin your lawn feature in the long term. Personally I would complain to andrewmiller@matabilityoperatins.co.uk explaing the issue you have had, along with Ohme refusing to install a charger now on the sole basis, they think a 15m Type 2 cable used only when charging will be dangerous, which can equally be said for the 8m cable Ohme would supply. The 15m I intent to buy meets the same BS EN number as that supplied by Ohme. Basically you believe Ohme are being awkward because of the over inflated non standard installation price, they initially charged.
