    Gee

So many items seem to be out of stock when my ASDA home shopping is delivered despite the fact that all items were in stock when ordered. ASDA of course charge the full amount including for out of stock items then  refund for out of stock items some days later.

      TIMELINE

Thursday 20th July ordered delivery for the following day (at the time of ordering all items were showing as in stock)

Friday 8.30am delivery arrived minus so many ‘out of stock’ items that for the first time ever i refused the entire delivery.

Friday 5pm visited my local ASDA and found most (not all) of my out of stock items in stock.

Wednesday 26th July full refund from ASDA into my bank a/c.

ASDA stopped paper printouts for home deliveries some time ago which makes it more difficult to determine what has been delivered and more importantly what hasn’t been delivered.

Its been a long time since i did home food shopping with TESCO and perhaps they are no better than ASDA but i really miss having the delivery guy hand me a paper printout detailing my entire shop so i’m going to give TESCO a go.

We’ve been using Asda for home groceries for a few years now, we pay £6.50 a month for as many deliveries as we want as long as they are over £40. I’ve gained a lot of experience and knowledge. I think your problem is the delivery time, if you order is being delivered at 8.30 it will be picked at around 6am, a lot of the shelves will still be empty. I’ve just had my delivery in the last hour and there were no subs. I’d say best time for delivery is around noon.

That said, I have had many issues with items being out of stock for delivery but on the shelf when I go in store, sometimes it’s just lazy pickers. Try Sainsbury’s they have a similar priced delivery pass and they are cheaper than Asda on a lot of lines now, especially meat.
