Have motability changed the rules on nominated drivers? After the changes due to the Daily Mail moans, they brought in rules that drivers had to live within an arbitrary distance (5 miles from memory).
this doesn’t seem to be a requirement on the latest forms, and I can’t see any mention of it on the website, hope so as my girlfriend of 16 years lives 20 miles away.

the 5 mile rule still comes into place usually if the named driver is the main driver an various other reasons, its still allowed if they live further away but in some cases they fit a tracker. you can add upto 3 named drivers, if you are a driver its best to say you are the main driver, that way it should be just a case of adding your partner.
