New Vehicle Payment

      Hi!

I’ve ordered my new car (existing customer) and I’m due to pick it up at the end of December. I’ve already received the £350 part of the good condition bonus so was just expecting the remaining £250 when I take the car back.

However, I was just reading about a new vehicle payment of £250? Is this still running? and will I get that plus the £250 good condition bonus.

      Thanks,

      Lexie

i asked Motability the same question and when the phoned me back to explain i was told that i would even get the new car payment in 2023 based on when i ordered the replacement vehicle and as you i have had the £350 payment in October and will receive a further £250 when i hand back the current lease.  so a grand total of £850 all together.

              Hi @Lexie,

did you order your new car before 1st October 2022? Presumably you did as you’re expecting delivery at the end of December, in which case you should expect the full 600 GCB on the car the you’re returning plus the 250 for ordering a new car during 2022 (850 in total)

My understanding is that the 350 that you have already received is an advance for part of the GCP for your new car. When you return your next car in 3 years time, then you will receive the 250 balance of the GCP (the same as someone ordering a new car after 1st October 2022)

There are several other threads on this topic. Information on Motability website is confusing. If I’ve misunderstood, then I’m sure someone will be along shortly to correct!

                Hi @Lexie,

edit to the above, the 350 you have already received is advance GCB for your CURRENT car. Upon returning it you should get another 250 (assuming a 3 year lease) i.e. 600 in total. You will then receive your additional 250 new car payment.

Assuming that you ordered your new car before 1st October you will receive another 35o after taking delivery, and then a further 250 GCP at the end of your 3 year lease.

I said it was confusing! lol

                  Hi,

I ordered my new car on the 10th October and it’s ready for collection 29th December.
Yes, I’ve already received the £35o early good condition bonus so I’m only expecting £250 when I return the car?

The new vehicle payment is a nice surprise! L

It’s not a nice surprise as they have changed the name, when the pay it, and the amount,  the £250 replaces the GCB which was £600 , so all order’s from October 3rd I think, loose out by £350

                      Ah, ok

I’m so confused cause I thought I was getting the remaining £250 good condition bonus plus £250 new vehicle payment

                        Hi Lexie

Yes that’s what you will get £250 GCP plus £250 for ordering a new car and taking delivery, so all told £500.

This is despite the £350 you should have already had from Motability though I say that “you should have had” not sure if everyone has been paid yet.
