Motability have released instructions about final Q4 orders:

“We’re pleased to confirm that applications submitted to ‘eligibility’ status in OLA by 6:00 pm on 31st December will be protected at quarter 4 pricing. Please note this deadline will be subject to review if a ‘no deal’ Brexit is announced by the government before 31st December.

Any applications not in ‘Eligibility’, ‘Pending’ or ‘Insurance’ status by this deadline will be deleted and your dealership will be liable for any increase in vehicle price or advance payment in quarter 1 2021.

Manufacturers and Motability Operations will no longer support the backdating of applications under any circumstances.”

this might be a reason to order now rather than wait to Q1 if you can do so

Looks like they are expecting big jumps reading that.

Definitely! Even though it’s a while away, my Mother is due to order around the 3rd quarter of 2021 and is already worried she will get priced out from the compact crossover/SUV segment.

It may mean a nissan or a toyota crossover/suv will be the cheapest as no tariffs on them as they made in the uk. Other car makers like japan and honda we may have a trade deal in place so it’s a bit of an unknown but deffo if there no deal cars made in the eu tariffs will apply and like wise cars being sold to the eu.
