BarryI am considering the Mercedes B Class for ease of access and on doing a bit of research I have seen mention of a sliding rear seats becoming available. As our wheelchair wont fit in flat by about two inches I wondered if anyone has any information or experience about this.Our dealer doesn’t seem to know about sliding rear seats or anything about the lightweight wheel chairs now being offered with new leases for the duration of the lease.If any one has one I would like to know the folded dimensions,

Show your dealer this link about the wheelchair option;
https://www.motability.co.uk/products/adaptations/lease-a-manual-wheelchair-with-your-next-car/
We’re picking our B Class up tomorrow, as far as I’m aware it doesn’t have sliding rear seats but I’ll ask my dealer if he knows when they’re supposed to be starting fitting them.
If I seem a little strange, that's because I am.

BarryThanks for that, I will be interested to see if they know anything. Who is your dealer? I gather no info on this wheelchair then. I will spend a bit of time phoning round today to see what I can find out, What model and spec have you gone for?

October 21, 2019 at 9:32 am #92592I‘ve had a look at the configurator but cannot find sliding rear seats anywhere.
According to Auto Express the sliding rear seats aren’t due until sometime this year (does anything arrive ate the due time?)
My X1, 18d SE has sliding rear seats (67 plate) but I believe that this is now an option.
? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?

MuhammedWardy just curious as to who your salesman was at Stratstone Huddersfield? I’ve been there myself and wasn’t happy with my experience.
October 21, 2019 at 11:06 am #92608Muhammed, it was Josh Ineson and he’s been great with us so far. Apart from the delay, which is beyond his control I can’t fault the service to date.

MuhammedWhen I went into the dealership I was waiting for around 20 mins and no one approached us I had to then tell someone that i’ve come to see ‘Craig.’ Following that he took over 15 mins jut to arrive then didn’t seem to know much about Motability.. Just my luck i guess
October 21, 2019 at 12:15 pm #92613I don’t think they have a motabilty specialist, just whoever is available.

greycarI think perhaps Mercedes dealers are why BMW is so successful, went to look at a Merc twice now, they seem to have no stock of the bread and butter models which are the ones on mobility and offer you a seat in an old shape.

AnnekaHi I currently have a b class 180 2016 model and that has rear sliding seats so you would definitely think the new model would have this feature also.

I know nowtFor anyone thinking of ordering the B class the sliding rear seats will be available as standard from December production. There are a few other things changed too. I have noticed the wireless charging and augmented reality navigation are now included on Premium and Premium Plus. Previously they were optional at a cost.
I am a bit peeed off cos my Premium Plus is due for delivery soon and would have liked the enhanced navigation but couldn’t justify the extra £495November 19, 2019 at 3:06 pm #97026
