Hi everyone hope you are well. Bloody cold isn’t it ?

Anyway, just thought it might be of interest to show what the range indicated by a fully charged Kona 64kw in winter ( where I am is -2 during the night and zero to 2 degrees  during the day when this screenshot was taken)

thanks xxxScreenshot of Kona App charging status

      Cheers, all the very best

260 miles?! You’re lucky – I’ve had as many as 350 miles out of mine in the summer with very careful driving. I’m currently getting an indicated range of around 180-190 miles at 100%

I drove to London and back yesterday – 130 miles each way. Normally do that without having to charge at the Rapids in warmer weather, but yesterday with it being -5c for much of the journey and having to drive a little faster (still within the limit, mostly) at the end due to a couple of snarl ups, those first 130 miles sucked about 75% out of the battery. Cue almost an hour at the rapids on the back home (wouldn’t charge faster than about 45kw) and a nice little bill from Gridserve for about £25, (we don’t “brim” it, but always want a decent reserve, just in case) which meant this little jaunt cost almost as much as when we had a diesel

Granted, our use case is outside of the normal uses for EV’s – motorway miles account for maybe 75% of our mileage, and EV’s are far better around town than on the motorways for economy
