Wish you’d ask these questions this morning, as I had a test drive in the GT line S HEV today. I did a bit of measuring, but unfortunately not that bit. My best guess would be that you’d have to 6’6″ tall for your head to touch the roof with the seat at it’s lowest setting.
As DJP said, yes it’s electric.

What did you think of it? Were you told delivery times?
@kezo it was bloody amazing to tell you the truth. The hybrid system is so smooth, the only way you knew you were in EV mode was the EV sign on the instrument cluster. And wow, what a cluster it is too!! I’d watched a lot of reviews and not one could find fault, only a couple said that the suspension was hard, but having had the Tarraco FR sport for 3 years, believe me it felt so comfortable.
Never been an impulsive person, I always do a lot of research before taking the plunge, but without intending to, I just went ahead and ordered, I really can’t believe I did it!
And the best bit, being treated really well by the dealers. Sorry, babbling on, told me 16 weeks to delivery so looking around April.
I did extend my lease as I wanted to wait for the new Kodiaq, but in just a 2 hour test drive that went straight of the window LOL!!
@Markymate its a nice car especiallly the GT /Line S. If it was on the scheme when I ordered the Tuscon…

If you can home charge then the PHEV, although the AP is high. I went HEV as no off road parking, and going by all the reviews I’ve watched and read. So I went for the GT line S full hybrid in the green, £3399 plus £150 for the black roof. Just like the one in the showroom.
Did look at the Tucson, but the all round looks and the interior especially, won it for the Sportage.

That’s great to hear @DJP. I haven’t stopped grinning since we came back from the test drive, to be honest. Now the wait begins!!
I agree with you kezo ,markymate I found sportage gts hev exellent ,really loved test drive ,have ordered in red ,black roof not available now with red,so I’m told ,so all red, am told delivery june July 2024 , experiance with kia dealership was best I’ve ever had ,ive bought 10 new cars over years ,last 5 been motability , disabled now ,yes am really impressed with this car ,wish uk had long wheel base ,only longer by 6″ , but it looks much longer, happy with uk my25 model. Keep well all.

I ordered mine in blue, GT line S in January still a no show and still no information from my dealer as to when.

I ordered march 6th 24 ,I done bit of research ,various types , they point to kia sportage stock arriving uk june July, I had email from media kia slavakia very ,polite said bit more of delay as kia sportage very popular, kia expected to have 50000 orders but had 70000 orders, she said they have extra work shifts to produce more cars, from what I’ve read etc ,it looks stock arrive june July, my dealer seemed confident june july ,if you ordered jan long time to wait but , let’s hope june July 2024 stock arrives , he said stock would be my25 models ,not much change in model but rear airbags projector lights ,emission changes ,think Bluetooth apple android car play now ,as was wired ,we have wait n see , my dealership update me every 2 weeks ,ask yours to do that ,wish you well.
Kia slavakia email ,said which isn’t clear as typos , ( however I can see your vehicle in production until it gets vin number ,your dealer will inform you ) so it is in production or not until gets vin number ,probably after its assigned vin number ,wish you well .
We all have our motability problems, need transport ,so this forum can pass on experiances that members have which may help others waiting by sharing , but helping not looking for arguments, let’s hope all get cars waiting for soon ,bless all.
Ive read Sportage has plenty room all round ,ground clearance just over 8″ as another said 6′ person seated in back should be comfortable.

I ordered mine on the 12th of January, and the dealer said 16-18 weeks. Fortunately he’s a great salesman and has kept me up to date. Contacted me a couple of weeks ago to say we are looking at 22 weeks, due to minor production change over, i.e. bhp dropping from 226 down to 212. MY25 models are now coming into the country so will be receiving MyOrder app email saying car is in the queue for production, any time in the next 2 weeks or so. One of the advantages of being with Motability is I still have a nice car while I’m waiting. If comes in June or July I’ll be able to test out the sunroof, mind you, knowing the British weather that might be a problem LOL!!!
I ordered a GT Line Mhev manual (this one has had a power increase to 157hp) in flame blue on 19th January. Dealer said expected delivery was end of June. I’ve had one update from him so far and he stuck to that date. So, hopefully, should start to hear things about production from mid-May as it’s a roughly 4 to 6 week turn around.

And yes newyork1 let’s hope so , everything seems to indicate june ,July. My dealer did say choice of colour ,he said makes difference in speed of delivery , I chose inferer red , looks good on sportage , I like red car my last 2 cars was unable to get red .Markymate it is big sunroof yes with roller blind, love it, I hope my 25 does have Bluetooth connection for android spotify, has been wire connection.

Sadly not, still wired AA and Apple carplay on all Sportages except the base model 2.
Umm yes your correct ,I’ve just read all that tech but still no Bluetooth connection ,went on to say its silly agreement between kia and nav company ???.
It’s huge sunroof but opens back to where rear passenger seats start. The sunroof & black roof roller sunblind, work really well & fast ,side windows also fast .
