Tell me about it 🙁
April 5, 2024 at 8:41 pm #271721Iv already explained this in one of your other threads there is no facelift for 2025 model, only a reduction of break horse power.
this is why mobility customers cannot order a Sportage that is in stock my dealer has 2 in stock the contract from kia and mobility is for 2025 Sportage landing in end of June in UK show rooms there is no face lift but reduction in horsepower only.
hope that makes sense this time.

I’m not sure about that because both Kia and Hyundai have skipped MY24, introducing MY25, whic is when both the Sportage and Tucson were due a facelift and as you say a reduction in the Hybrids and an increase in BHP for the petrol and MHEV variants.
The easiest way to look at upvoming Korean cars is to look at Korea itself, where you have been able to see video’s of the facelifted Tuscon before Hyundai introduced it here. In a similar way you can find news of the MY25 Sportage, which is set to be released soon.

April 5, 2024 at 10:00 pm #271727Im just going by what all 6 dealers have told me there is No face lift, time will tell once they start landing and hopefully some on here arnt to upset on receiving the same car thats in the show room just now. i know they have skipped My24 just the same as they skipped MY19 all to do with Euro 7 emissions.
And the rest of the world kia sportages are Long based europeans is shorter so would tale the Korean video as a pinch of salt

April 6, 2024 at 10:16 am #271753Had a call from the dealer yesterday to tell me there will be some delay as change over to MY25 production, Sportage. Looking at June/July, maybe. Not the best of news, but these things happen, especially with such a popular vehicle.
Nice to be kept informed, it’s all you can ask in a dealer. Still got the Tarraco, so no big problem.

April 8, 2024 at 9:07 pm #272174April 9, 2024 at 5:49 pm #272343Just had a phonecall from Kia regarding my Sportage order.
I ordered 8th January 2024 was told April but know I’ve been told motability want their customers to have the most up to date MY25 version?? Personally I think that’s a bit of horse manure, they said because I ordered mine very early in quarter one I may get mine first ??
What’s everyone else’s thoughts on this, when do you think it’s more likely to be.
Cheers in advance!!

Ordered mine on the 12th of January and was told April/May. Dealer called me Friday to say looking more like June/July now, this is due to changing to MY25 production and shear weight of orders going in. Should be just in time for summer and get to use the pano roof!!
We just have to be patient and not get to affected by, “I want it now, syndrome”, that seems to pervade out society today.
April 9, 2024 at 7:41 pm #272364April 10, 2024 at 7:50 am #272399<p style=”text-align: left;”>Not fussed on waiting just don’t want to be told one thing if it’s not possibly true, I’ve had too many incidents with dealers and their lies in the past 28 yrs with motability, Kia saying it’s motability wanting us to have the most up to date car! Where so far I’ve seen on here and other forums it’s because of emissions etc, also if it’s true about motability wanting us to have the most up to date car then that’ll be a first for motability in my experience hence the question. Just trying to find out an approximate date, if your 6 plus plus others are all saying June/July then mine is lying as they said yesterday because I ordered 8th Jan it’s probably going to be the first part of quarter 2 which in their words was April!! I don’t believe it will be I think the “paying” customers will be looked after then motability so as you’ve all said June/July.</p>
April 10, 2024 at 12:50 pm #272432@Quadz I know what you mean about dealers forecasting delivery estimates. It’s not just Motability customers they do it too, either. Just go on any car forum and retail buyers get the same thing. When I first deal with a salesperson before ordering, I say, please no BS, just tell me the truth about delivery times, especially if it’s bad news, I will appreciate them much more than lying to me, and so far every dealer I’ve dealt with have been sound.
I find that going on car forums for the vehicle you’ve ordered is always the best way to find out what is happening regarding delivery times, mind you, you’ll also see people moaning about this problem, or that problem, I guess it’s just the nature of the beast.
It looks like we’ll all get our Sportages at the same time. Although, Selandia and Magnolia Seaways keep on landing at Immingham port everyday with new KIA’s from Cuxhaven. One day ours will be on either one!!!
