My late wife had a car on the scheme up until her passing in 2019. I was the main driver and it was an excellent car (Volvo XC60). I was awarded the enhanced rate mobility element of PIP myself a few years later but didn’t join the scheme as I had a perfectly fine car at the time. I have just had my PIP review decision and am questioning whether I would be able to join the scheme now as rather than a fixed date I have been awarded PIP for an “ongoing period”, I know you need to have at least One year remaining but without an actual date how would that work?

Ongoing means a light touch review in about 10yrs so you’re good to go!
