      Hi,

‘My wife regularly drives my car. I was just thinking that now it is almost 3 years old. If she had broken down in year 2 or 3 would she have been covered by the RAC under motability roadside assistance?

If not then I guess I will need to cover her for year 2 and 3 with my next car.

To be honest I have never really thought about it before, newish cars don’t tend to breakdown as often these days, but as we are getting an electric car the thought of running out of charge is a possibility.

Thank you for your replies to this question.

        Hi Rob

So long as she is registered as a named driver with mobility and RSA insurance, then she would be fully covered.

This breakdown cover is for your Motability Scheme vehicle only and does not include any other vehicle you travel in.
