Seeing as the original thread has disappeared, and it contained some very useful information on the problems with the delivery of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, I thought I was start another with an update I’ve just had from my dealer.

I ordered in June, a RWD Ioniq 5 Ultimate with Tech Pack.

My dealer just confirmed that I’ll be getting a MY25 with Tech pack, but will NOT be getting the relaxation and memory seats. I’m fine with this, others may not be. If I wanted those extras, I would have to be cancel and reorder (and pay the current AP)..

He also looked to see what cars are available ‘at the docks’, and even though I would be free to change colour (apparently Motability only know the model, they dont care about the colour on their system), there were only RWD with Vision roofs available, nothing with just a Tech Pack.

He then checked the progress of my actual order, which is due in build on the 7th November, which would mean delivery in the UK in early January.

A brand new order today would be looking at June for delivery.

      Hope that’s useful.

I talked to a dealer today and they reckoned delivery of an Ioniq 5 N Line would be available in Feb as long as it was black or ecotronic grey but red would be chargeable? Undecided between this and a new facelift Enyaq 85X

My Tucson is ecotronic grey and looks nice in the daylight.

The Ioniq will get you a heatpump as standard and superfast charging, with its 800v architecture when charging away from home and won’t have the niggling faults the Enyak gets. The downside is the boot is slightly smaller and no AWD on the scheme, which would be selectable on/off in anymode, whereas the Enyak its only permanent in sport. The Premium gets an extra 34 mile range according to the manufacturer but, don’t no if there’s much difference in spec!

Just received a text message from my dealer, the car will be with them on the 21/01/2025.

ordered on the 23 June, AWD ultimate with tech pack. It has taken so long due to Hyundai and motability deciding if they would honour my order and migrate to the my25 model.

Dealer will text me when it arrives, to arrange a viewing and arrange delivery.

I was holding out for a later arrival, and the new reg in March.

apparently once the car is with the dealer, motability will only allow them 4 days to get the car ready and delivered to the customer, otherwise they get fined.

I don’t know this true, but I will speak with the dealer once arrives and say, I can’t take it until 1st March, as I was not expecting it until later, and I don’t have sufficient AP in place until the end of the month. I am a bit short at the moment.

However if you were offer a discount of £500 off the AP, this would help me and you, and I could take the car earlier. Otherwise it will have to be the end of the month.

worth a try, dealer has been very helpful so far, nothing to loose by asking.

IanP hope you can sort it with the dealer, I also have a date and time for pickup, next Wednesday (22/1/25). ours must have been on the same ship.

Looking forward to getting the car, and am sure the wait will be worth it.

guys who are picking up their car, please make sure the bluelink app works and test whether remote functions work (like climate control).

When I took delivery, I had connection issues. Dealer said it could be their network is down and it still doesnt work. Looks like they have something wrong with the ccNc unit and need to reset stuff in dealer mode. I now have an appointment on early Feb, 2 months since delivery. Hope they fix it then.

I regret not insisting on having it working on delivery. They would have sorted it much sooner 🙁

I concur with everybody else who has received their Ioniq 5 FY25, had it for 2 days now and loving it. I am doing a long drive tomorrow but am a little worried about the battery charge consumption I seem to be getting about 60-70% of the expected range.

visited dealer today, picking the car up on the 1st Feb. A little disappointed that they were not able to hold it until the new reg, but managed to negotiate a £500 discount off AP.

                    Happy Bunny.

                      Hi All,

just to update, I started the original thread on the Ioniq5, I ordered an AWD Ultimate with tech pack on 17th of April last year, today we picked up the new model AWD ultimate with tech plus, yes we lost a few features we wanted like the memory front seats but overall happy with the car, the lane departure warning is a pain in the ass having to switch it off every time you start but we are happy, main thing is my daughter finds it easier getting in and out, at the end of the day it’s her car.

My dealer was great, I didn’t say much about them throughout the whole process as we are in Northern Ireland and it’s not hard to narrow down, but ultimately they came through, I did not expect any less from a great family run business.

anyway, everyone enjoy your cars, this was taken at a cafe 1 mile from the dealer, my daughter is K, son is C.
